The Casa Monica local museum in Lita

The Casa Monica local museum in Lita

In their new home, the Seman family from Lita, who have moved to Spain for an extended period of time, have seen that any small village can have its own local museum. They have also found abroad that in many cases they bear the name of the inhabitant of the house. This is where the idea of collecting all the old objects of daily use in the village came from. The collection, which started in the early 2000s, was first extended to the village and later to other settlements in the municipality. Some old objects were given as gifts, others were bought. In this way, the collection has developed, mostly of local old utensils, but also of wall protectors brought from Spain. The collection is housed in the attic of the family home and the house has been renamed Casa Monica, taking the well known nickname of the late homeowner. To visit the collection, please make an appointment by telephone with the owner, Adrian Seman, on +40 787 297711.
